massive roundups of some of the last wild horse herds in the US continue. Just yesterday a stallion escaped from where he was being held and a foal, running in terror from the helicopters, died.
You can read more here; there's information about where to send letters as well. As always, I recommend hand writing letters yourselves. Yeah, there are a lot of people to contact about this, but you needn't write anything lengthy; government officials rarely read through long letters anyway. I think this is particularly critical because BLM
keeps doing this -- over the past ten years -- and pretty soon all these horses will end up dead immediately, dead on transport to the east (chilling conotations to those words), stuck in rodeos, broken and domesticated for people to keep in barns and ride, and possibly overseas or to Mexico for slaughter. BLM will not give up; it's extremely frustrating. So please, WRITE! Even if you're not a US citizen there are government officials you can write to, just not senators and representatives.
Thank you.

This Is Not a Love PoemThis is not a love poem.
There are no descriptions of bright eyes
or wide smiles or tender looks,
no kisses and no caresses and no hand-holding,
not one declaration of love forevermore.
See, I'm not the kind of girl
who goes after what's easy,
and not the kind of poet who does happy endings
So this is something different
( The rest at my journal )

I walk with my son and we drop in a children playground.
In a blink of an eye Max picks up two adult (some ten year old) girls and flirts with them, way-out.
If he behaves so in his 15 months, I can hardly imagine what he is going to do when he is 15 years.
Like father like son!

Hi,
So, I'm just figuring out that I've got OCD, or something like it. I never had any idea, but in retrospect it seems obvious.
About two years ago I got really sick, and couldn't do all the stuff I used to around the house anymore, so my wife started doing it. I should have been greatful, right? Should have been thrilled that she was so great, and so kind, and caring, but instead it just freaked me out, because all the things that I needed in order to feel safe weren't happening.
So, I was freaking out all the time, at her mostly, and the end result of it is that she left, and doesn't want anything to do with me anymore.
I'm coming to terms with that, don't know what I can do about it anymore, but at the same time, I am realizing that there's all kinds of things that really fit for me in terms of OCD. Like I know that there's a "right way" to organize things, and I have to keep rearranging until I find it. I know that there's a "right" outfit to wear to go out, and I can't go, unless I figure out what it is. That sort of thing. I need to know where every single thing in the house is, and be able to find it, or I can't cope.
How did you deal with this stuff when it first came up? Who do I go see? I already see a huge team of specialists because of my Lupus, and being so sick already, and I'm scred of having to face some new thing.

Current Music: Creep - Revolting Cocks
So I'm Stevie. Well, technically I'm Sarah, but that's beside the point. Call me whichever you prefer, it's all good.
I'm sixteen and I live in Georgia (though I'm from Tennessee and have lived all over). I'm a complete and total shameless music whore, and a lot of people say I'm the most passionate person about music that they've ever met. Some of my favorite bands are Nine Inch Nails, Steve Earle, My Chemical Romance, Sister Machine Gun, Muse, Marilyn Manson, Dan Bern, All The Pretty Horses, Daft Punk, Leathermouth, T-Bone Burnett, The Bravery, Coconut Records, Uriah Heep, Jeffree Star, Sparklehorse, and Warren Zevon. Most all of my entries contain at least some mention of music, or guitars, since I build and play guitar as well.
And what else? Well, I've done a lot of drugs in my past, which I rarely but do occasionally talk about. I smoke like a chimney and say "fuck" too much so if anything of those things might offend you, you definitely should not add me. I'm anti-religion and have an affinity for anything sacrilegious. I design graphics. I hate Twilight, which is not to say that I hate vampires. I love vampires, just not ones that sparkle. I love my dogs and post pictures of them too much. I have an obsession with old motorcycles and fast cars. I talk a lot, as you've probably noticed already. I'm generally extremely laid back and easy to get along with, unless provoked.
I want people who comment and update regularly (a few times a week is great); people I can actually get to know. I myself comment any time I have something remotely interesting to say, and update most every day.
If you add me, please comment on my friends-only post and I'll be more than happy to add you back.
Peace, kids.
